Lo best primero

The configuration ” Best Stuff First” the brinda an algorithmic tablero. Su tablero le mostrará las cosas that Tumblr creates que le gustarán, en lugar de solo el contenido más nuevo.

If you prefer a chronological tablero, you can deactivate “Lo best primero” en las preferencias de su tablero. In the mobile app:

  • Toca el icono de la cuenta (el pequeño humano).
  • Pressing the icon of the rueda dentada.
  • Toca “General configuration”.
  • Toca “Panel Preferences”.
  • Disable “Lo mejor primero”.

On the web, head to your spreadsheet setup.

Disable “Lo mejor primero” and remove “Desde que te fuiste” posts from your tablero.

in your orbit

If you see a post or blog with the “In Your Orbit” flag, that means some blogs you follow are also following the recommended Tumblr. You can turn off these recommendations from your dashboard settings on the web or in the app.

Include posts from your tracked tags

When the “Include posts from your tracked tags” setting is enabled, you’ll see results from your tracked tags in the dashboard. Turning it off won’t affect the tags you follow, but you won’t see popular results from those injected tags in your dashboard.

Best things first

The “Best Stuff First” setting gives you an algorithmic dashboard. Your dashboard will show you what Tumblr thinks you’ll like, rather than just the latest content.

If you prefer a timeline dashboard, you can disable “Best Stuff First” in your dashboard preferences. In the mobile app:

  • Tap the account icon (the little human).
  • Tap the gear icon.
  • Tap “General Settings”.
  • Tap “Dashboard Preferences”.
  • Disable “Best Stuff First”.

On the web, go to your dashboard settings.

Disabling “Best Stuff First” will also remove “Since you left” posts from your dashboard.

Recommendations

Recommendations include posts, blogs, tags, and group chats that Tumblr thinks you might like.

Reasons for recommendation in mobile applications

In our mobile applications, certain recommendations will appear with reasons why you are seeing them:

  • In Your Orbit means that some blogs you follow also follow the recommended Tumblr.
  • Like [insert username here] means the recommended Tumblr is similar to one you already follow, or is related to a blog you recently followed.
  • You seem interested means that you have already liked a few posts from this Tumblr but are not following them yet.
  • Big in [insert tag here] means you like a lot of stuff with that tag, and the recommended Tumblr posts a lot of stuff with that tag.

Manage your recommendations

There is no way to completely disable recommendations. However, you can permanently remove individual recommendations by clicking or tapping the meatballs at the top of the recommendation. Once you reject the recommendation, we will never recommend that article or blog to you again.

Tips

  • If you’re new to Tumblr, try following other blogs to reduce the total number of recommendations you see.
  • Sometimes people confuse the results of their tracked tags with recommendations. You can identify a tag-injected post tracked by the highlighted tag and accompanying magnifying glass icon on the post. If you no longer want to see results from your tracked tags in the dashboard, you can disable “Include posts from your tracked tags” in your dashboard preferences. More information can be found here.
  • You can disable “In Your Orbit” recommendations. You can learn more about managing your dashboard preferences here.
  • For better, more relevant recommendations, turn on “Enhanced Search” in your web settings.

If you see something that doesn’t belong on Tumblr, please report it. You can learn how to report content here.
