Installing Elementor Pro

Congratulations on signing up for Elementor Pro This guide walks you through the process of installing and activating Elementor Pro on your WordPress site.

This document will guide you through 3 simple steps to install Elementor:

  1. Installing and activating Elementor (free)
  2. Elementor Pro Plugin Download
  3. Upload it to WordPress
  4. License activation

Installing and activating Elementor (free)

Elementor Pro is an extension of Elementor, so you must have Elementor installed.

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, click  Plugins  >  Add  New .
  2. In the search box, enter Elementor and choose the Elementor website builder  to install.
  3. After installation, click  Activate .

Download the Elementor Pro plugin file

  1. After purchasing Elementor Pro , go to my.elementor.com.
  2. Log in with the information you received in the email after purchase.
  3. Once logged in, you will be taken to your profile page . Click the Download Plugin button in the top corner section and download the .zip file to your desktop.

Download Elementor Plugin File to WordPress

Install-Elementor-Pro

  1. Dirígete al panel de control de WordPress de tu sitio y haz clic en Complementos > Agregar nuevo .
  2. Elija el archivo zip que acaba de descargar. Haga clic en instalar y activar.

Note: If you receive an error message saying that you are missing the style.css stylesheet, that means that you have tried to install this as a theme instead of a plugin. Elementor Pro is a plugin, not a theme. Install it as a new plugin only.

Activate Your License

After installing Elementor Pro, you need to activate your license. To activate your license and get automatic updates:

  1. From the WordPress Dashboard, go to Elementor > License.
  2. Click Connect & Activate

You’ll be redirected to log in to your account.

3. Click Connect. After you log in, your license will be activated automatically.

If the license key was installed correctly, the message on the top of your dashboard should disappear.

Note: If you get an “Invalid redirect URI. Try to reconnect” error, or any similar “Error Occurred” message, when attempting to activate Pro, please go to Settings > General and check the URLs that are listed there as your WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL). Both URLs should be exactly the same. If they are different, you can get this error.

As of version 2.9, Elementor Pro widgets are not draggable unless your Elementor license has been activated. Please see this document for more information.

Installing and Activating Elementor (free)

Elementor Pro is an extension of Elementor, so you must have Elementor installed.

  1. From the WordPress Dashboard, click Plugins > Add New.
  2. In the Search field, enter Elementor and choose Elementor website builder to install.
  3. After installation, click Activate.

Download the Elementor Pro Plugin File

  1. After purchasing Elementor Pro, go to my.elementor.com.
  2. Login with the details you received in the email after the purchase.
  3. After the login, you will reach your Profile page. Click on the Download Plugin button in the upper corner section and download the .zip file to your desktop.

Upload the Elementor Plugin File to WordPress

  1. Head over to your site’s WordPress dashboard, and click on Plugins > Add New.
  2. Choose the zip file you have just downloaded. Click on install and activate.
  3. On top of your site’s dashboard, you should get a message telling you to activate your license key.

Connectez-vous et activez votre licence

Introduction

If the license key was successfully installed, the message at the top of your dashboard should disappear.

If you get an “Invalid redirect URI. Please try to log in again”, or any similar “An error has occurred” message, when trying to activate Pro, go to Settings > General and check the URLs there are listed as your WordPress address (URL) and site address (URL). Both URLs must be exactly the same. If they are different, you may get this error. 

If you still can’t activate your license key, check that you haven’t copied any spaces or other characters.

Note : Elementor Pro is an extension of Elementor. This means that Elementor Pro will not work if you don’t install the free version of Elementor.

Since version 2.9, Elementor Pro widgets cannot be moved unless your Elementor license has been activated. See this document for more information.

Using Elementor Pro on Local or Intermediate Sites

While creating a website using a local machine or on specific test sites, Elementor Pro is not registered as an installation, which means you can install Elementor Pro on your local machine or test site and on your live website at the same time , without using any additional license.
