Adding a custom logo to your site’s header is one of the first things you’ll probably want to do after setting up your site on your new host and installing a theme you like. Luckily, it’s also one of the easiest things you can do in WordPress. Here’s how to achieve it:

  3. Select the menu option for “Header” or “Logo” settings. The options available in the customizer are not standard throughout WordPress and are determined by the theme developer. You might have to search a bit to find section in your theme that allows for customizations. Here are a couple examples of what you’re looking for:

Hiding the Site Title and Description

Once you have a logo, you might not need your theme to display your site’s title in regular text. But titles are good for SEO! Rather than leaving the title blank, you can hide it: below the Site Logo tools in the Customizer, you will see a checkbox labeled Display Site Title and Tagline. To hide your site title and description, leaving just the logo, uncheck this box, then click Save & Publish.
